Nokhu Hut
Nokhu Hut
Nestled at the base of the stunning Nokhu Crags, the Nokhu Hut is a cozy backcountry escape near Lake Agnes. With rustic charm, solar power, and beginner access in both the summer and winter, the Nokhu Hut offers the perfect launching point for skiing, hiking, or simply unplugging. Nokhu Hut and Agnes Creek Yurt sit just below the trailhead to Lake Agnes. These are among our most popular units due to their access to amazing hiking and backcountry skiing terrain. The hut and yurt are close to each other separated by a small stand of trees and perfect for groups. Agnes creek runs right next to Nokhu Hut and just below the deck of Agnes Creek Yurt providing a serene ambience to both units with the sound of the creek in the summer. Both the hut and the Yurt offer amazing views of the Nokhu Crags, Mt Richthofen, and Diamond Peak. In the summer, there are several gorgeous hiking trails to explore such as the Lake Agnes Trail and the American Lakes trail. In the winter, there is an abundance of backcountry skiing terrain such as Diamond Peak and Nokhu Crags.

Please triple check you gathered all of your belongings and food (including spices, condiments, coffee) before you leave. There is a Yonder Yurt dumpster located at our office near the park entrance where you can dispose of your trash. Any littering around the yurt and in the State Forest SP will result in a fine.
What's NOT included
There are no showers or running water at this location. Guests should plan to bring their own potable water for drinking and cooking. Alternatively, guests can filter water from the Agnes Creek nearby. During winter months, water can be supplied by snowmelt and filtered. Guests will need to bring their own filtration systems.
